Our Commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
At Terra Mechanica Maris Ltd., we are proud to have signed the Armed Forces Covenant, a pledge that recognises the extraordinary contribution made by those who serve, or have served, in the Armed Forces, as well as their families.
The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise, by the nation, that those who protect us will be treated fairly and will not face disadvantage because of their service. It is a commitment to ensuring that veterans, serving personnel (regular and reservist), and their families are respected and supported in our workplaces and communities.
We take this responsibility seriously. As part of our Covenant commitments, we:
Support veterans and Service leavers into civilian employment, recognising the skills and dedication they bring.
Offer flexibility and additional leave to Reservists, Cadet Force Adult Volunteers, and Armed Forces spouses and partners.
Actively participate in Armed Forces events such as Armed Forces Day, Remembrance activities, and fundraising initiatives.
Promote awareness and understanding of the Armed Forces Community within our organisation and across our industry.
In recognition of these commitments, we are honoured to have received the Bronze Award under the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS), which highlights employers who go above and beyond to support the Armed Forces Community.
Why It Matters
We know from experience that the values and skills of the Armed Forces Community — leadership, teamwork, resilience, and problem-solving — are invaluable in engineering and offshore operations. Signing the Covenant is more than a formality; it is an opportunity to give back and ensure those who serve or have served are given the support and opportunities they deserve.
